Donna Brousseau is a certified chef and graduate of the French Culinary Institute in New York City and is a certified wine educator. After graduating, Chef Brousseau hit the road and headed to France and Italy where she completed culinary internships. In France, Chef Brousseau laughingly confesses to earning the nickname, “la gourmande” (the one who loves to eat).. The two "pain au chocolat" she gobbled down every morning may have contributed.
When she returned she worked in restaurants in New York and Atlanta. Itchy feet struck again and it was off to Canada where she studied wine and spirits for two years while cooking in a local restaurant, "Delish". It was there that she truly learned to cook. No menu, no recipes. She learned to cook using her senses and whatever was fresh at the market that day.
Along the way, Donna in her quest to staying healthy, developed an interest in teaching others how to do so too. Brousseau had a healthy cooking show on CNN - Accent Health for several years and taught cooking at the Viking Culinary Art Center for over a decade.
Donna lives in the US and Italy, and has written about her many experiences throughout the world in magazines and newspapers.
